I wish I had been able to come to the funeral and give you a hug. I am so so sorry for your loss. I know what you're going through, kind of. A child is worse than a spouse in my opinion. I feel very strongly that Norick was there to meet him

Such a heartfelt tribute today for an amazing young man. May we all feel inspired from Blakes selflessness and compassion for others. His life's work and service was so far reaching. May the Debenham family find their way through this tremendous loss with the guidance of their angel above. We love you and hold you in our hearts.

Blake Debenham is a great man, and I'm sad to see him leave us. Though I was with him a relatively short time, his training fostered both my salesmanship and training, something that has proved invaluable in my own career path. He had an ability to bring out the best in people in ways that were as unorthodox as they were amusing.
Blake didn't just expect people to answer that it was "the best day ever," but he also inspired them to make it that way. When ever Debenham was around, you could hear the enthusiasm in his voice, from naming the honorary "Colossus of Clout" to asking open ended and always illusive questions.
I'm sure that Blake will continue to inspire others as he moves into this next chapter of his existence, and will forever reminding us that today truly is the best day ever.

I knew Blake best as a young, growing, confident kid as I was lucky enough to have him on our little league basketball & baseball teams for many years. I coached him along with my son Alex and many other great friends of theirs. He quickly became the instant "leader" on all teams with his raw talent and extreme determination. Blake always brought an infectious, positive and fun to be around attitude and spirit. He Believed he could accomplish anything and was never afraid of anyone on the court or on the field and in life. He was a true stand out. "Go Jets!"
I feel I learned as much from Blake as I gave to him and he always had such a great respect for me as a coach and an adult. You will be missed Big D!

It is unfortunate that I have never met Blake's family... It would've been nice to meet the people directly responsible for molding such an amazing person. I would like to share that your son had helped me with a very hard time in my life regarding my recovery... I was pretty broken & was considering relapsing. Your son was one of the very few who reached out to me even though we didn't know each other that well. He was THAT selfless. I'm in complete shock over this tragedy, but am thankful that I was blessed with knowing Blake. My prayers and condolences are with you.

Words couldn't even begin to express how much of an impact this man had on my life in the time that we worked together at Clearlink. He always had that giant white smile and he was always giving everyone the most powerful high fives. His hugs always had meaning in them. He truly cared about everyone, he was always so positive and upbeat. He will be without a doubt missed. Work feels empty without him especially when you don't see that smile. While the world lost such an amazing man, heaven gained an incredible angel. I am beyond thankful that I had the opportunity to have this man in my life. Thank you for sharing Blake with all of us. My heart aches for you and your beautiful family.

Blake is a great friend to me we worked side by side together. He taught me all I needed to know. We talked also about the thing we had in common as well. I looked to him for inspiration in my recovery and my career. I knew he would be there for me in anyway I needed. He allowed me to see the flaws I posses only to show me how to change them. His positive outlook in every aspect in life allowed me to see the error in my ways. You have a great son who many Will Miss dearly. He loved with all his heart and his family was his strength. I can not imagine the pain that you must have and I keep you in my prayers. My condolences go out to your family and I pray you find peace. I love you Blake my friend.

When we met I was so lost and alone. You welcomed me, celebrated each little victory, checked on me till I was safe to be left alone. Since then, I've never gone more than a month without getting a text, call, or just running into you. I have a hard time imagining life differently. You were the out stretched hand and welcoming hug for everyone you met. You listened without judgment, spoke from the heart, and had a passion for life that was infectious. You are one of a kind. Your presence in my life strengthened me, your absence hurts, and you will always be remembered.

I wrote this poem as a tribute to Blake.
Blessed Are The Dead
You and I---the living---assume
it is better to live than to be dead.
I wonder, though, if alive and dead
are so different as we suppose.
Granted, the dead seem to
to go about things differently:
less breathing; less building and
tearing down; less scurrying
about.
But I cannot say they do nothing.
They hover around my periphery,
coming nearer---now and then---
in daydreams and nightdreams,
filling me with crystalline sadness
where a moment ago there was none.
My friend who died yesterday
was beautiful---a young god among mortals,
around whom the world melted
and refracted just a little when he
smiled, when he moved.
It occurs to me now he is no less
beautiful for having died:
for the dead carry with them their beauty
like a seed, as a gift
to the collector of souls.
Outside my window, a tree draws
from the earth the detritus of leaves,
which release their memories
of long-ago afternoons, of sun and shade.
So that I cannot tell precisely what part of the tree
is dead and what part lives on.
