Don did such a great job , building the Salt Lake Temple for our stake float last year. He was a skilled craftsman and happy to share his talent. He was a great example of service and will be greatly missed
Sincerely, So. Cottonwood Stake

" Don and I with a couple of friends from the Granite Orchestra formed a little Rock and Roll Dance Band. He was the drummer and the life of the group. Our little band played many assemblies at Granite HS and in the KSL "Battle of the Bands", and performed for Lions Groups and dances. He was a great drummer and really fun friend. I will always be grateful for my buddy Don. Bob Olsen (class of '58)

Don was a good neighbor and a terrific guy. So sorry for all the health troubles he was enduring. We seen him briefly at the dumpsters and was so relieved to see him on the mend. Felt so bad when we learned he had lost the battle. Our sympathies to his family. Glad that you have your beautiful Samak cabin to share your memories.

I learned a lot from Don. I had the honor of doubling up in a patrol vehicle many times with him as we went out to serve Salt Lake County. He always showed up with a smile, kept me laughing throughout the shift and ended the shift with a smile. I admired how he often spoke highly of his family and his work for Little America. He was into public service for all the right reasons and his integrity, courage and unselfish service to the community was exemplary! It was an absolute privilege to have known and worked with Don! My heartfelt condolences go out to his loved ones
