Chris and I met as sophomores in high school and become friends in our junior and senior years. We had a lot in common and Nita and I were lucky to have Chris and Kay as friends. We shared a lot of laughs and fun trips over a span of 50+ years.

Chris and I served together in the Air Force. He was my boss at the Joint Military Medical Command at Randolph AFB. I have met many officers in my lifetime. There are a few that stand out. Chris is one of those officers that was supportive, fair, caring, demanding, honest and always had a joke to lighten the mood. He was a fine man, a family man and a loving husband. He and Kay welcomed Maureen and I as part of the JMMC family. I will always be eternally grateful for his mentorship, friendship and example. He truly did love the Air Force and his country. He also had one of the strangest golf swings I have ever seen, but he did teach me how to hit the ball long and straight. To Kay, Rob and Staci I want to express my deepest sympathies and send prayers for your comfort during this time.

Charles served his country, this showed his love for order and good government. As we await the coming of the Best government under Christ's rule (Dan2:44), May we continue to pray for this kingdom to come as Jesus taught us. (Mat6:9-13). This will be the solution to all mankind's problems. How happy he will be to live the real life under this kingdom.
