Charles A. Jones, age 73, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend went to be with our Lord on September 27, 2013 at home, surrounded by family and friends. Charlie was born September 7, 1940 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His family later moved to Houston, Texas where he graduated from Lamar High School, and later graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1962. Charlie was VP at Church's Fried Chicken; President of Vokstoy Auto Parts; and CEO of Gesco Medical Products. He enjoyed fishing all over the world, and coming home to play golf and gin rummy at Oak Hills Country Club. Traveling the world was enjoyable, but his most fun was hanging out with Mary. Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Kelley (Shawn) Gosdin of San Antonio; daughter, Tracey (Steve) Tarr of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Beth (Gary) Nunn of Cullman, Alabama; son, Kirk (Susam) of Panama; grandchildren, Lindsey, Lorin, and Trey Driskell; Dylan, Bailey, and Quinn Gosdin; T.J. and Alex Vega; Lainey, Chloe, Kirk Jr., and Sophia Floeck. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Alamo Heights Baptist Church, 6501 Broadway at 10:30 AM, with Rev. Charlie Simons officiating. A reception follows at Oak Hills Country Club, 5403 Fredericksburg Rd.. In lieu of flowers, please send your donations to: Fisher House Inc., 7323 W. US Hwy 90, Ste. 107, San Antonio TX 78227.
