Don, was my go too guy fixing the computer hardware at USAA. God bless.

I met Don while I was working at USAA, we became friends it seemed from the onset. When I told him I was from the Midwest he just smiled and he then said I am originally from Nebraska, and I responded I have have relatives there. He was definetly a professinal and represented IBM well. I went to a little league baseball game for my youngest Son Mark and he attended for his son David. I attended his retirement thing they had for him and another guy at USAA. After I retired in 1992, some of us USAA folks would meet for a meal periodically and Don and Dolly would also attend. He was a Special friend, we shared much about life, a very caring person. In 1994 I told him I was leaving Texas and moving to St Paul Nebraska, and he says really, my 1st Cousin Stan Edwards is President of the bank and I commented, I had already met Stan as the bank was handling the closing on my house. (small world). In his many travels after we were both retired and I lived in Nebraska, he stopped and visited with me several times. When I would get back to San Antonio, I would always call him. God Bless Don and his family, I considereed Don a VERY Special friend. A very good caring person.........

I am so sorry for your loss. No one is ever ready to lose their parent, even though you know it is inevitable. I only knew Don a little, but it was enough to know he was a great guy. As a matter of fact, I recall telling him so. I am sad today.--Ginnie LeMere

Don was one of the most professional CEs I ever had a chance to work with. In Houston, we both covered Texas A&M and later USAA in San Antonio. He was always a valued member of the IBM team. May you, his family and loved-ones reflect on great memories.
