Eanie, my old friend...
Thank you for your grace and gentle nature. My best to your family in their sadness.
Ernie moved to Houston in 1980 to work with us for a year, and was a valuable asset to our business. Thank you for everything, and may you rest in peace.

played witH Ernie 10-1964 12-1965 :The Laveers:
he was doing vocals only then..I joined the military..then saw him again year later at the VFW post 76..I sat in with his band..told me he liked how I played, asked me to join his band,,practiced a few times at his condo, but he got sick and had surgery..lost contact with him, then ran into him at Geo Rivas Blues resturant..we talked and he told me his illness had returned ,but wasn't going to quit..at his condo he gave me a copy of the cd he recorded and asked me to learn all the songs which I did, but never got a chance to do the gig..
RIP brother ..

1st band I played with Ernie was 1965 "Little Henry & Laveers" from 10-1965 to 12-1965.then I was drafted ...he was doing vocals only.. years later I sat in with his band at the VFW 76.. .he called me later to join his group, but he was sick and had to go to surgery..I did practice at his condo on Vance Jackson..and we were ready to do more rehearsals ,but his illness slowed him down..I never did get to do another gig with him..but saw him later at George Rivas resturant..and he told me his illness came back..said he wasn't singing much ..we talked and said later..at his condo..he game me a copy of his cd that he made made..and asked me to learn his songs...which I did...
he told me I was a good guitar player..
RIP brother..
