Joe A. Montoya transitioned peacefully on September 18th, 2018. He is preceded in transition by his parents, Jose and Patricia (nee Arocha). He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Eva (nee Garza) and his most treasured gifts, his children, Joe IV (Carlissa) and their children, Illyana, Roldan and Gianluca; daughter, Criselda Jay and youngest son, Johnathon Daniel; siblings, Olga Poisson, Carlos (Pauline), and Oscar (Rita), as well as many dear in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Born in Big Spring, TX and raised in San Antonio, TX, he graduated from Burbank High School in 1968 and went on to earn an Associates degree in Electronics from San Antonio College. In 1976, he opened his first business, The TV VCR Shop, where he proudly served the city of San Antonio for more than 40 years.
Services will be held 9:00 AM, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Meadowlawn Funeral Home (5611 E. Houston St. San Antonio, TX 78220). To leave a note for the family, visit meadowlawn.net and select Obituaries.

Our deepest apologies from the Infusion Clinic. Mr. Montoya was well known for passing on hope and strength even in his worst times with his fight against cancer. Prayers for his family and friends.
