We just heard of Onie's passing after talking with Virginia. We are so, so sorry to hear of your loss. Onie was such a great friend and neighbor. He will be missed dearly, but will always live in our hearts.
Our prayers are with you all.

about Oney, I am 3rd generation RR and Oney knew my dad and always called me Jonesy, He was a super good guy to me and a very good hogger. The first time I worked the East local(83,84) I was super GREEN. On the trip back we had 2 locomotives but no MU cable to lash them up so I was on the second loco and Oney would say over the radio, 'eight more' and stuff like that so this scared to death newbie could advance the throttle as was needed.

RIP brother...........
