Chris I just learned of Bob's passing. My heart goes out to you. Bob was such a great supporter of Rick. I have fond memories of our time together in San Antonio. Hoping that Bob and Rick run into each other in heaven. I can't express how sorry I am. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Chris and Family, I think of Bob often and was sorry to learn of the news. In addition to him being a fantastic role model and the reason I chose my particular professional path, he was an overall fun, funny, excellent teacher, bandmate, and overall great person. He taught me many things about a wide array of subjects in his inimitably clear way. Just two weeks ago I found a 32 page booklet he had written for me explaining music theory complete with modern music references and quotations. I recall him presenting it to me only 2-3 days after I asked him a question about music. My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Dobie Family, I am sorry to learn of Bob's passing and of your loss. As my attending in residency at UW, Dr. Dobie was an amazing teacher, role model, and sax player! His quiet and serious demeanor belied a keen sense of humor. In sympathy,

Dear Chris and Family,

Please know that all of you are in our thoughts at this time. Bob was such a great colleague starting way back when he, Glen, and me began our time at the University of Washington. He was always the inquisitive one with that special sense of humor that made working with him so wonderful. And, he was always so supportive of his colleagues and students, which meant a lot to all of our careers. Importantly, knowing him was to know you, too, along with others in your family, which has been a lasting experience. Please know that he will be in our thoughts forever. Brenda and Glen
