We send love and condolences to Beth, Alan, Helen and your children. We will remember you in our prayers for God to comfort you in this time and to strengthen you in these days ahead. Joel was a fine man and a fine teacher and will be missed. We love you. Love, William Charles Hicks Sr., Sherry and Tom Strunk, Bill Hicks.

Beth: What a shock it was to hear about Joel's death. I can only think of the fun times that he and I had as students at SWTS in 1959 through the early 1960's. I received a surprise call this morning from Michael Paulsen notifying me of his passing. My condolences are extended to you for your loss. My prayer is that you will find peace during this time of grief as you remember the good times that the two of you shared. Wayne Dudney, (SWTS Class of 1962)

What a sad sudden loss. Mr. Tanner was a great Shop Teacher for me. Taught me woodworking , welding and photography. A lot of which I still use to this day. My condolences to the family.
