We are part of Betty & Bill's neighborhood, and host (for 23 yrs) an annual neighborhood Christmas party, asking everyone to bring enough hor d'oeuvres for 8 people. The party oft times seemed to fall on a Charger game day which meant, of course, that "the Cerney's won't be coming!" After a couple of years absence with yet another game on party day - they astonished us by bringing over an enormous tray of delicious appetizers... and then, they left & went to the game! Always thoughtful, and such fun; a lovely couple. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

Bill & Betty you're great friends and even today I can here both of your voices. When I work I still ask myself is this a job that Bill will accept. Betty was always asking how I was doing first. They will both be in my heart forever and not forgotten....

Betty & Bill were my second family growing up as a kid. My mom has known Betty since second grade. Our families took many vacations to Colorado together, camping trips, and the infamous Christmas tree picking adventures!! It's always sad to hear that a family member has passed, but my memories of them will live on in my heart forever. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend to my mom Betty. RIP.

It was with great sadness when Betty called to tell me of the passing of Bill. Then the shock when I learned of Betty's passing a short time later. Bill and Betty were my closest friends in High School. I almost carried their first born home from the hospital. Bill and I shared many events together, some good and some not so good. But, we had fun as teenagers. I could almost write a book on the antics we pulled or were victim of. Such fond memories of youth. Our families shared the same wedding anniversary date and Bill and Mary Ann shared the same birthdays. The passing of Bill and Betty have left a void in our lives that will not be filled. We offer prayer for their family.
