I would like to send my thoughts and prayers out to the family, I was blessed by having ED teach me how to throw and kick a football some 39 years ago he was my first sports hero and a great dad to his kids, I know he impacted alot of lifes.

My condolence to the Brown family on your loss. Ed was a great athlete both in high school and later in the NFL, to say the least. Ed was also a great individual and I feel he never did receive the accolades he deserved for his accomplishments he made in the NFL.

I would like to send my sympathies out to the Bo and Brooke and the rest of the Brown family. Ed was my neighbor and he taught my brother and myself the correct way to throw a football. Ed was a great guy and a great father he will be deeply missed but always remembered.

I would like to send my deepest sympathies to the Brown Family for their loss.
There is no doubt -- Ed was the very best football player to ever come out of S.L.O. Hi. -- he was a punter,a kicker and one very fine quaterback. I watched him play in the Pro-Bowl one year in the L.A. Coleseum -- he was playing for the Bears then -- he threw an 80 yard pass --- right on the money -- like he did so many times for us in Hi School. It was caught for a touchdown -- a man in front of me turned and said "they are cheering the wrong guy they should be cheering the man who threw the ball not the man who cought it"
-- he was right. To say Ed had talent is a gross understatment.
Thanks for the memories.

Ed was just one of the truly nice guys in a world where there are few enough.

Greta and the Brown family, our condolences in the passing of your brother. You might not remember us, but Stan sold us our wedding rings in 1964 and you and he were good friends of my Aunt and Uncle Jerry Dawson. I never met Ed but Stan spoke highly of his accomplishments. He truly was one of SLO's finest athletes.

God bless,

Geo & Mary

Our condolences to Ed’s family. Ed was a magnificent athlete, one of the very best who ever played at San Luis Obispo Senior High School.
