Claire was a lovely woman. I worked with her for many years at Cuesta Library. I last saw her at Jessica Cheda Brandon's wedding reception at the Madonna Inn. She loved going to that event. I know how much she appreciated her family and all that they did to support her as she grew older. She will be missed by many friends.

Sorry to hear of Claire's death. We were classmates at Mission High School and graduated together in 1946. May she rest in peace with the Lord.

Sending warmest condolences and aloha to Mark, my classmate, and all of his family. May the family times now spent together be joyful not sad as you hold your mom in your hearts and continue to share stories of her for the the future generations to cherish! Aloha pumehana! A hui hou, Mrs. Wise!

Mark, the coincidences in our mothers' passing is amazing. To get a condolence from you about my mother's passing April 30 was amazing. We were classmates from SLOSH '72 who knew & repsected each other. Only to her of your mother's passing while I was in SLO...that really shook me. I'm in Tucson & it was not easy getting to SLO. For you being in Mexico, I can only imagine. My sister, Claudia Devaux, who was strong & handled all of my mom's arrangements, is very active w/the Old Mission & made sure I got your mother's obituary. As we are the same age, so were our mothers. I hope to see you next summer during our 40th class reunion. If not then, then some other time. We have a lot in common & should have known each other more....Lance Young

I met Claire when we were both enrolled at Cuesta College when we both graduated with an A.A. degree in Library Technology. This was in the early 1970s, but I still remember her as a warm, cheerful, sweet and kindly person.

Sadly, she has now moved on, but the legacy of being Claire, is that she has left behind warm memories, even after so many years.

My sympathy to your family.

Claire was a wonderful, cheerful person whom I worked with at Cuesta College Library. I will miss her cheery smile and wish that I had gone to visit her more often after she retired.
