Our hearts are heavy here in West Virginia. Always looked forward to Don's visits and so enjoyed keeping in touch with him on Facebook and getting to know more about my cousins and their families. A kinder gentleman I've never met in my lifetime. His love for God, his family and friends was evident in the way he lived his life. Godspeed cousin, you are loved and missed. With much love to our cousins and their families, Sandra Williams Mayhew and my Mom, Faye Perkins Williams (daughter of Nora Anna Toler Perkins).

My brother- in law Don was indeed a gracious man, joyful and compassionate to all he encountered. I will miss his visits, our long talks and fun times. The memories we will always have and cherish. I love you brother in law you were the best.

I've always called Uncle Don the Toler Family Rock Star. He impressed me as a little girl, arriving in a big fancy RV, decked out in Elvis Shades, introducing us to exotic foods our little hillbilly kitchen had never heard of. I was dazzled. Later on, he taught me how to chat on AOL, texting lingo, and emojicons. I loved that he knew what ttyl meant before I did. He sent my my first GPS, and was my first Skype call. He was the very definition of 'Cool Uncle'

Don showed me how much a husband can love his wife, and that love can last forever. He was the best listener, always empathetic, and he would show me the good when I could not see it. He taught me the importance of accepting people the way they are, and how valuable it is to leave the judging to God. It took me a long time to catch on to his way with that, but if you can see this Uncle Don, know that I see your way is the best way and I'll do my best to live it. Because of you, I will love my family unconditionally, and I will honor my spouse til death do us part.

Like all great Rock Stars, he lives on in our hearts as a true legend; never to be forgotten, and forever missed. I love you, Uncle Don.

The love that was generated by this man is more than most people dream of. He really gave his life to his family, he taught our family good morals and values. He was always tinkering in the garage, fixing or building or working on mom's honey do list. The only comfort I have right now is knowing he is with my mom his one true love. As the first born I certainly tested his patience, over and over and he never gave up on me. I always knew I was loved. As were my children. And the entire family. I love my dad, and will miss him everyday.

Loved my Brother, we were very close, talked freely, openly about everything an everybody, he never took sides, loved his family, loved God (Jesus) and trains, oh an his little brother. Maybe because his brother worked for the railroad an was always good for a ride on the rails. We were planning a Amtrak trip over the RockyMountains to CHI-WAS DC-JAX FL. However since Amtrak was late Don took the on time train to Heaven.I loved him. And will miss my Brother.
