My Dearest Beautiful,
You are right,I do truly miss you. I see your email address every day, still on my list, and wish there were emails in heaven.

You were my second Mom and sometimes my first Mom, when my Mom was busy working, and I needed advice. You always were there for Bonnie and I. And the advice was always good.

I know one of these days we will all be together again and can laugh and play cards (if allowed in Heaven)!

Hi Mom,

Like you told me, I do miss you now that you're gone. In fact, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I have so many objects that I touch and see that say Mom to me, but nothing can compare to the love I feel for you deep in my soul.

You would have celebrated your 84th birthday last week. But, if you are counting in Angel years, last December 11th you celebrated your 3rd year in heaven. While we weren't ready to let you go, we are all so thankful that you were in our lives for those many years. You have left your imprint in our hearts and souls as your legacy.

Even though your last year was filled with many medical appointments, we made the best of the time we got to spend together. I was your personal hair stylist before each adventure. I enjoyed Foster Freeze and Taco Bell treats afterward and an occasional sunset in Morro Bay.

Your love of music is no doubt why Dallas and I love it too. Whenever I was visiting, you always had beautiful songs playing. Often you sang along and sometimes I would join in. I remember our nightly ritual when I was growing up. We would load the dishwasher and sing Autumn Leaves in two-part harmony.

When our time comes to join you, our worldly bodies will be laid to rest next to yours. Then we will continue our adventure on the next level.

I love you Mom,
Bonnie

You were my Mom but even more than that you were my best friend, mentor, confidant and my biggest fan. I could always look to you for guidance and support and I could always count on your advice as you were so wise and such a sweet and caring soul.

I'm going to miss calling you to share my adventures and accomplishments and to hear your words of wisdom when the road gets rough...Your daily emails and little history lessons...Your love of music and all the little things that made you the sweetheart you were.

You left us with some beautiful memories and all who knew you carries a piece of you in their hearts.

Mom, I know you are in a wonderful place and free of pain and for that I am thankful but I will miss you forever. I know you know how much I loved you.

Your loving Son

Dear Queen Mum,

I will miss you dearly. I will always remember the sweet kind soul who "dined rather than ate", loved to sort through the pictures and mementos of her life, and had a passion for Trader Joe's Ginger Snaps, Vueve champagne, and the color lavender. Those things will always mean QM to me.

One of my favorite memories we shared is the time my cat, whom you promptly renamed "Romeo", climbed in our 2nd floor bedroom window to cuddle with you while you recuperated from your shoulder surgery. He will never again find such a warm cozy welcoming place to nestle.

I was truly blessed the day I met your handsome son and became part of the Allen family. Thank you for always making me feel so loved and welcome. You will always be the "Queen" of the family to me.

My dearest Beautiful, your forever smiling face will be missed so much. I have so many wonderful memories of Bonnie and I as we flew through our teenage years and beyond, and you as my forever second Mom. We did have some adventures, especially water skiing! But most of all just hanging out at the Allen's. I know you are in a wonerful place and maybe you can say hi to my Mom.

December 11, 2009 will always be a memory in time, but I'm at peace...Heaven has a new face to smile within it; she has had many special names throughout her lifetime: Sister, Daughter, Wife, Mom, Aunt J, Grandma, Grammers, Nana, Great Grandma, and most of all Friend to all those she met in between...We miss you, and Love you so...With your passing Grandma there is a great sense of loss around us, but also a sense of peace, happiness, and freedom. A freedom from pain and suffering. .. Happiness that you will never feel either again…Peace that you are no longer earth bound and free to roam wherever your thoughts take you…Godspeed and enjoy the adventure that lies ahead.

Don’t you worry Grandma about those you left behind for all of us have taken in that most special memory that reminds us of you. Like the time you tried to help me learn to water ski, but I was too concerned about you being left behind and having to swim to shore while I was gone, and was unable to pop-up…you know I never got watering skiing down in all these years :o)Or the time you stayed all night at the hospital after Zack was born, and slept on that crappy uncomfortable bed, so you could take care of Zack and me…Oh do I have memories that will last a life time, but you had the greatest mind for recalling decades of memories that others had forgotten; although my detail for memories can never compare to yours, I do have them rattling around in this brain of mind, and every now and then that certain something just pops on in there. I love you will all my heart….Faith not seeing is believing ~~~~
