I REALLY MISS JOHN. HE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON, AND A GREAT BRIDGE TEACHER AND DIRECTOR AT OUR SANTA MARIA BRIDGE CLUB. WHENEVER I HAD A QUESTION ABOUT BRIDGE, HE WAS ALWAYS THE ONE I TALKED TO.

John will be truly missed. His stories of his family and navy experiences were always entertaining, even when heard a second or third time. He was a great teacher and it was evident how much effort he put into his lesson plans. I will certainly miss him sitting across the table and answering our director calls. What a huge loss to our community.

John was both a great mentor and friend in helping me bring back my bridge game of many years back, through his excellent classes. As long as we showed interest and desire to learn, he was more than willing to help such as he did with his family throughout the years. We will so miss him and his tongue-in-cheek humor and take on life!

John was our friend. He was also a wonderful Bridge player and Bridge teacher. He taught many hours of Bridge classes each with a written handout. I have reams of handouts. He was also a mentor and always had the time for questions. I had a Bridge date with him the day he was stricken. My last words to him were, "I will meet you at the game." I am not sure if there is Bridge in heaven,
but I will hope to..one day-"meet him at the game."

John was a vital part of our bridge community, always evenhanded with players, and irreplaceable in many ways. My deepest sympathy to his family, with hope that memories of better times will comfort you in your grief.

My older brother that was always there for me. I will always miss you.

Farewell to my big brother. Prayers and hugs to Johnny, Kathy, Paul and Alice.

Saying fairwell to our brother John who is in all our memories of childhood.
January 14, 2016
My memories of John go back to the 1960's where His sister Jacqui and Dan were friends of my mom. I became friends with his sisters and just recently re-connected with them. My love and prayers go out to the family and may fond memories comfort all of you.
