Judy, wherever you are tonight, I just have one thing to say --

"Calm?!!! ... Calm?!!! ... Do calm and murder go together??? ... Murder and calm???"

God, I loved you, Judy. Even though you must have hated that moose.

I'll tell you a little secret. The moon really was following you.

It's been a long time, but I always took some comfort in the idea that you were somewhere in the world, giving sea tours, quoting Arthur, and perhaps late at night, remembering our flights of fancy.

I'll end with the poem I wrote you way back when. Perhaps wherever you are, you'll be able to hear it tonight--

I met a new woman this year,
And I really believe she's a dear,
Her last name is Caswell,
And I think it's just AS well,
If I ended the limerick here. ;)

I won't ask you to rest in peace. I hope your afterlife is full of adventure.

Goodnight, Judy. I really did love you.

Tho' the reality is hard to accept, I try to find comfort in the little reminders that make their way across my path. I wish we could go back to the day when everything was fine...and there was music...and dancing...and laughter...and contests to see who could remember the most lines from the movie "Arthur" (and by the way, you're still a hedge!) I will visit you often in my heart and await the day we see each other again. Until then, "Good luck in prison" and "I look forward to your next sentence with great eagerness!" (Apparently "the lights went out"!) I miss you "Schlerm" xoxoxoxo

Judy and I worked together back in the late 1980's at SLO County Tax Collectors office. She made the job fun....which is not all that easy when you are taking money from people! Even though I moved away over 20 years ago I always remembered her as not only a great co-worker, but a great friend! All who know her will miss her quick wit and friendship! I especially remember the adventures she shares after her trip to Wales.

I didn't have the privilege of knowing Judy for a long time, but she was one of those people who made you feel as if you'd always been friends.

Judy was-oh how I hate using the past tense in speaking of her-a smart, funny, creative, truly kind person. I'm honored that she considered me a friend.

We used to chat late at night via PM. I'd see the green dot lit up next to her name & I'd "drop in." It's so odd, coming on FB and not seeing that green dot next to the name Judy Greyhorse Caswell. It makes my little corner of FB a lonelier place without Judy in it.

Calm seas and following winds, Judy, with a safe harbor at your journeys end. I miss you.

Judy, your optimism and humor in the face of pain and uncertainty is an inspiration that will long be remembered by many, including me.

My friend Judy was so wonderfully creative and funny. Her smile lit up the room. She always had time for me and lifted my spirits when i was feeling low. She gave great big wonderful hugs. I love you so much Judy!
