I only wish I could tell Judy how much I admired her, just one more time. She was a very special friend as well as our neighbor for over forty years. She had an amazing personality, so-o-o much fun, honest, sweet, kind to everyone. Also extremely talented, sew, cermanics, arts and crafts, ready to help with anything you needed. The thing I think of first is what an outstanding wife to Hal, excellent mom to Becky, Cindy and Michael. They were her entire life. She loved all of them unconditionally as well as their spouses. Judy could not have been more proud of her grandkids. It was such a strong, loving, affectionate, relationship. (Rare in this day and age.)
She is missed by so many that also loved her. .GOD LOVE IT

It's been a year now and I realize more how important Judy was to our family. As we gathered around on June 13, the home she made hasn't changed and the kids and grandkids and I owe a lot to her unselfish love. She unselfishly supported all of our dreams. Her faith in God is a a continuing inspiration. We do miss Judy.

Judy was one of the first people to welcome me to San Luis Obispo. Her generous and caring soul made me feel right at home. She will be missed deeply.

I just read Judy's obit yesterday in the Aurora Advertiser. I feel close to her today because I saw a tv segment about one of her favorite places, Morrow Bay.Judy was a very special lady. May God be with all the family. Love and prayers, Carol Ann Thurman Pilkenton

Coast to coast, border to border, the United States is a large country. Amid this vast geographic reach, intimate connections still manage to form and thrive. Due in part to the Aurora, Illinois swimming pool, and the Harold Cota family, I learned to swim at Sinsheimer Pool in San Luis Obispo years ago as an adult. May Judy's soul rest in eternal peace.
