Hi, Kryl,
I've been thinking about you and wanted to say hello to you and your family. Even though we didn't know each other for too long, you made a lasting impression on me. I had so much fun hanging out with you - playing frisbee and walking on the beach, watching the sunset, playing billiards, watching movies, and driving along the coast together. You were a great friend and I miss you a lot. I admired your work as an engineer and your interest in astronomy and life in general. You were so bright, friendly, funny and kind. I'll be thinking of you and hoping that we meet again, in the next life, with lots of time to spend together. Best to you and your family!

Hi son

This is your dad here just letting you know that today, Goliath's 11th birthday, I took his ashes down to the Rogue River and mixed the majority of them with some of your's that I have kept. I scattered them in a part of the river that had a ton of huge rocks, just the kind Goliath loved to chase. I said a prayer for the both of you hoping that now the two of you could play in the river eternally knowing that relatively soon (some time in the next 30 years or so) I will be there to join the both of you. I love you son and I think about you every day.

Dear Kryl,
We are mourning the passing of Goliath, as we have mourned the loss our beloved Rotties.
We know that your love of this breed came from our much loved Benson. We remember when the puppies were born and the care that you gave to our dogs when we were on vacation. Wally and I were always happy that you came to love and admire this breed as much as we did.
Take care old friend, and we hope ALL our babies are with you now.

Hi Kryl

I just wanted to let you know that your wonderful dog Goliath passed away today after a courageous battle with bone cancer. I took care of him for you to the end and I want you to know that he had a great life after you left us. He got to play the "rock game" by the river on numerous occasions and got to go on a lot of adventures with us. He was a loving dog and was a tribute to your excellent training. Everyone who met him was in love with him and couldn't believe what a well behaved dog he was. I miss him as I miss you but I take comfort in the fact that the two of you are together again.

Love, Dad

Hey Kryl

Happy birthday as today would have been your 32nd birthday. As far as I'm concerned your birthdays will always be acknowledged regardless of where you might be. I had a bad dream a couple of nights ago and in it you were really angry with me but I couldn't tell what it was that you were angry about. After I awoke I thought about the dream and felt that you were trying to contact me and tell me you were upset because I had not posted anything on this site in a while. Just know you are always in my thoughts, every single day and it will remain that way for the rest of my life. Recently your mom and your sister and I met in southern California to commemorate the one year anniversary of your departure. We shared old memories, photographs and other miscellaneous possesions of yours. We supported each other in our grief and we remained connected with each other eternally in memory of you. I also made two commemorative CD's involving some of your favorite music as well as a CD that reflected metaphorically on your life and our connection to it. I sent copies of these CDs to a lot of family and friends of yours. Goliath your dog will turn 10 next month and is doing well although I hear him crying out in the night some times with a melancholy howl and I'm certain he is missing you very much as are the rest of us. He is slowing down in his advancing years but I am trying to make him as comfortable as I can. He gets a daily dose of arthritis medication and I have his weight down to a svelte 130. He looks great and people are always surprised to learn he is nearly 10 years old.

Anyway I love you son and some day we will all be together again.

Love, Da

Seasons change, time passes, a new year begins. But we never forget our friend, Kryl Dorman.

Thank you for allowing us to join you up in Kirkwood.

We miss you Kryl.

I still can't believe he's gone. I've known Kryl for about 15 years and He was always one of my favorite people to spend time with. He was funny, loyal and a great person to be around. We've all lost something great. He's gone but will never be forgotten.

Hey, Kryl, you will be happy to know that you will be surrounded by your family and friends during the Christmas season. The whole family is joining you at Kirkwood, your favorite ski resort.

We will be driving up December 26. Kryl's ashes will be scattered December 27, 2007 on Kryl's favorite runs. We will be staying at the Best Western Lake Inn, 30 minutes from Kirkwood. We will be reading the memories his friends and family have written. If you'd like to join us, please contact the lodge at 775-266-4661 or book on-line through Best Western website for reservations. Or you may want to stay in South Lake Tahoe. The lodge is pet friendly, that's why we will be staying there. You'll need chains or 4 wheel drive to get there. If you are unable to attend, feel free to contact me, Greg or Sami. You can still submit thoughts or memories to be read at the ceremony. Thanks for all your love and support for Kryl's family.

Hey, Kryl, just wanted to let you know that there are lots and lots of us who think about you every single day. As I write this, I am looking at your picture on the book shelf above my computer (of you holding Goliath as a puppy). I am wearing one of your old T-shirts (my new night-shirts) and wearing those masochistic, multi-rubber-pronged sandals of your's as slippers (they actually DO almost get comfy over time . . . almost). But, even without the shirt, sandals, and picture . . . I would STILL think about you every single day (and have no doubts that I've got plenty of company in that regard).

Love always,

Aunt Linda

For years and years before his untimely passing, I thought about Kryl nearly every day. It wasn't that I was doing it purposely - it was whenever a motor vehicle with loud booming music would pass near me. When driving together, my wife, Terri, and I would look at each other, smile and say, "Is that Kryl?"

I still hear that music nearly every day and when that happens I am reminded of my nephew, Kryl, and I smile...
