Gary, Barbara, and Cory~
I know that this is really hard for you guys. because it's been hard for us as well. i just wanted to say that i loved kyle like an older brother. it just saddens me that i didn't really get to know him as well as i hoped. i remember when he got his nova all fixed up and pretty. he was so proud of it. we always hung out by his car while we were up at the barn. him and jeff always made sure i was included whenever they went to wayside to buy 55 cent dr. peppers. they got me addicted. :) This hit all of us pretty hard but we just have to stick together and remember all the good times we had with the two boys. like kyle saying get over it! and then smiling with his dimples. or all 4 of the boys passing gas and blaming it on the other. we shared good memories and i'm sad that we don't get to share anymore together. Cory, Gary, and Barbara, i'm here for you guys. whenever you need to talk, i'm here. just feel free to call or email of just visit.
You brightened up everyone's lives with a simple hello and a cute smile. thanx for always including me and making me feel important. i'm sad that we can't share another memory together for a long time. if i could give up anything to have one more minute, one more moment, one more memory with you and jeff, i'd give it up as fast as the speed of light. i love you! and just wait until i get up there to be with you guys.... i'll get you guys back for everything that you've done to me. haha... well, maybe just jeff. i love ya!!!!!

Gary & Barbara

My thoughts are with you and your family in this difficult time. Although I only met Kyle a couple of times I can only imagine what a wonderful young man you two raised. To the both of you, the talks we had through the window at the bank, and all the good stories you would tell about both boys. Keep that going, Kyle put such an impact on me through the stories you would tell. He will be missed by many. Take care and always remember we are all here for you.

Gary and Barbara,

Your little "Sugar Bear" was such a blessing to me....and Katie, Emily and Hannah. Little "Sugar Bear" became the kind of friend we all could count on for big "bear hugs!"

I was so blessed to get to know Kyle even better last year than I did before. I always knew him as someone who my kids looked up to...who they teased and joked around with...and developed a work ethic with through their years of
4-H beef projects together! He became alot like a big brother and a good friend. I am so thankful my girls have had Kyle as a friend!
(And Cory too!)

As for last year... and I say that with a smile...Kyle was someone who always managed to make me smile! I think every time I asked for the class to turn in an assignment, he had to go to the jeep to look for it! He always brought it in...but it was a standing joke...I think he had a filing cabinet tucked behind the driver's seat (at least that was the credit we decided to give him for locating the assignment!).

Kyle was strong...and loyal. He was kind and gentle. He was a good friend to many! He loved life! He knew what was right and wasn't afraid to stand up for it! Those are all gifts you nurtured in him, and I am so thankful for your doing that...for you gave a gift to me...and to alot of other people...when you taught him to love life!

This summer at the fair, Kyle and I spent some time talking about life...and friends...and a concern we shared for someone. I was so touched by how he spoke with compassion and heartfelt concern. I think I shared with you, Barbara, how proud I was of the young man he had become!

Someday we will see him again...and until then, I hope God fills you with peace and hope...and wonderful memories of Kyle to share with all who knew him and loved him!

BEAR hugs,
and love,

Gary & Barb,
I just heard about the loss this past Saturday. We were in Houston, Tx.

My family has been friends of Barb, her father and brother since they were in grade school.

Every year Barb and Gary would loyally send a Christmas card with their two kids proudly featured. My parents eagerly looked forward to receiving their annual cards even though we did not get to see the family very often. Thru these cards and attached letter we were able to follow their growth and development.
The kids were always the most important priority in Barb and Gary's life. I can tell from everyone's comments that both parents did an excellent job raising two responsible, loving and compassionate boys.

I remember Barb telling me that they were moving from Thousand Oaks to Paso Robles because they wanted their children to thrive in the country and and instill rural, basic values in them. I was so impressed with them thinking that far ahead and wanting the best for their kids. These two parents wrtote the book on family values.

I do not know what God has in mind for Kyle but it must be something very important. He only calls the strong, wise and kind ones for special duty and Kyle obviously had those qualities.

The true scope of Kyle's positive impact on people is reflected in the tremendous outpouring of love and support in his community.

This guy was special.
