Keeping the Hamer family in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. She was a special person with a smile that could light up a room. Rest in peace dear friend.

Linda believed in the ability of every child! She gave all of her students compassion, hugs, support and encouragement always. I only wish she could be here for all of the children who are still looking forward, yet nervous, to school. Linda, you will be missed.

Linda,
Bless the day you agreed to transfer to Kermit King. That was a special time for all of us who opened the school. Not only were you a teachers' teacher you were a principals' teacher with the natural gift to connect with kids and their families. All we had to do was observe you and learn. You were such a foundational member of the Kermit King family. As a principal, at times, I needed a place to go hide and play. You know it was always your clasroom; and when I shared that with you in a text last year you wrote back, "I used to tell them to ignore you when I saw you coming...it never worked...those are some of my favorite memories, Linda." I had saved that text and will cherish it along with my memories of causing chaos in your classroom. May all the fond memories that your family has stored in their hearts comfort them at this time.

Little One,
It's no wonder that our hearts ache, you left your footprint in all of us who knew you. You made teaching seem effortless. Daily you entered your classroom with expectations, joy, love and respect for each of your students. You lived life even while being challenged by it, with dignity and concern for others. My deepest condolences to your entire family. Take care of one another as you navigate life without your anchor. Till we meet again....With much love & admiration.
