Mil was my trainer on the Hot Line...she taught me to be compassionate and empathetic to every caller, no matter what their issue might be. She also demonstrated, by example, the importance of relationships with everyone in our family....whether they are family member by blood or by a shared respect and admiration in each others lives. She supported me in my life's journey in ways she will never know...she was always accepting, always listening, always opinionated. Mil had the rare talent for being accepting, challenging, true, lovely, funny...and never, ever alienating.

Count me as one of the many who loved, admired and was inspired by Mil Harris. My life is better for having her as my aunt. I will miss you, Mil.

I will miss her wicked sense of humor, the was the O'Brien in her. She was the epitome of style, class and grace as were her six sisters. You can take the girls out of the city but you could never take NYC out of the O'Brien sisters! I will forever strive to be just like her, the absolute life of the party, intelligent, and fashion forward. Who can forget the oxford shirts with rolled back sleeves, tucked into size 8 jeans! I will miss you Aunt Mil.
