Nancy and I were very close in high school and college. She was a special person. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

A better human being than Nancy Speed never traveled this earth. We were fortunate to have had her during our time, and I am a better person for having known and loved her.

dr. speed not only saved my mother's life but helped her over the years to improve the quality of her life. the value of the encouragement, medical treatment, and affirmation dr. speed provided her is incalculable and the effects certainly live on in christy and in our family.

To the Family of Nancy Speed -
Just learned of Nancy's death in Psychiatric News. So sorry, and too soon. We were Falk Fellows together in '79-'81, and had great times. Peace...

Dear Joe, Maurice and I just heard of Nancy's death, and wanted to tell you are very sorry we are. We so enjoyed your friendship during your Minnesota years, and were sorry when you and Nancy and the kids moved to Michigan -- but clearly, you all had many wonderful adventures in Michigan and in California. The testimonies from Nancy's patients speak to what a remarkable, caring and smart psychiatrist she was. We could see how she loved you and those little boys, and I am sure that you all now are missing her greatly. Love to you, Jeremy and Joshua from Signe and Maurice Dysken

Joe, I met you and Nancy a gazillion years ago in the back yard of the Willis's in Santa Barbara. I never forgot the two of you, and I was heartbroken when I learned of Nancy's cancer many years ago. I just now found her obituary--I don't even know what hands of fate brought me to it on line. My deepest condolences to you and to your family.

I painted your house. You painted my heart, with your kindness, warmth, delight in your children.

You are missed.

Dear Joe, I have been reading all the loving and amazing ways Nancy has touched so many people. She had such a kind and honest way of dealing with her patients. She remained in the hearts of all her friends and casual friends. You, Jeremy and Joshua should be so proud of her. She will be missed by the entire community. If Nancy had not been there for Robin, she probably would not be awaiting the birth of her baby girl., ( Thank you Nancy). Joe, I hope Larry and I will see you often. Our love, Marti and Larry
