We were very close, frequently meeting friends starting from the time he and the late Ed Slevin "drafted" me to be Finance Committee Chairman while I was earning my AH degree. My vocabulary is pathetically short of the words that truly describe this incredible gentleman. Well, that is probably because those words don't exist.

I worked for Mr. Bostrom as a head resident at Sequoia Hall 1972-73. I'm now retired from almost 40 years in public education, many as a high school principal. I was telling some friends the other day that Mr. Bostrom was a great boss and how much I learned from him and how it helped me in my career. I decided to give him a call to tell him so. Well, I'm a year too late. But to his family, he was a great teacher and a really good man. I appreciate having been mentored by him in my youth. Rest in peace, Mr. Bostrom.

Missing your phone calls, Bob, when you always called to remind me of all the milestones in our family before I was born. So glad I could call you my wonderful brother. I love you with all my heart. Can't wait to meet again.

I knew Bob and Ruth over many years as our children grew up together at Pacheco school and beyond. Many thanks, Bob, for your help along the way.

I only got to know Bob this last year, but I spent a good amount of time with him and got to hear his philosophies. He always had something good to say and I really treasure his advice. I also got to know about the four stomachs of the cow, he loved to talk about his time at poly. Hope you're winning at poker up there.

Mr. Bostrom was my landlord in the 1980s, and he was a very fair and decent man. Condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear this sad news. He and Gene are enjoying a renewal of their long friendship.

God speed to a great brother, house comedian, and one of the best pinochle players on the planet. He put up a valiant fight and refused to allow the infirmities that come to us all in our later years slow him down. He indeed has left an enduring legacy, in his family, his community and his years at Cal Poly. I don't think he ever met a person he didn't know and like. (The four stomachs of a cow are also a memory: Rumen, Reticulum, Omasum, and Abomasum. But EVERYONE knows thIs, right?)

Bob and I have been close friends for over 50 years. He was always there for me and my family. I truly loved this man and the world has lost a fantastic human being.

Bob was a great humorist. I never met him that he didn't tell me a joke. Bob was a good friend; someone to be emulated. I will really miss him.
