I just recently learned about Robbie's untimely passing and was stunned to hear of it. I remember her most as Gregg's younger sister, who was irrepressible and smiling every time I saw her. Offering prayers for comfort at this difficult time for Doug, Ken, Andrea, Gregg, and all of those who are missing her and the sunshine she brought to their lives. Thinking of you all.

So sorry to hear this! Robbie and I grew up together in Altadena, CA. She was my next-door neighbor and good friend. I have fond memories of our playing together as young children. I distinctly remember her wonderful smile. My best to Dr. Sorensen and Greg! Love, Eric Sturgess

Robbie and my parents were good friends in Pasadena in the 1940's and 1950's. Our mothers went to Pasadena Junior College together, our fathers taught personnel management at Cal Tech and we were both born in 1957! We became dear friends at the University of the Pacific and we were sorority sisters at Tri-Delta Sorority. We were in each others weddings and after marriage and moving away we were not able to see as much of each other. But, everytime we saw each other it was as if no time had passed. She was a friendly, thoughtful and loving person. What an inspiration to all of us. She left too soon and will be greatly missed!

The Dettloff family will ever be blessed by the warmth and hospitality of the Sorensen family when we moved to San Luis Obispo in 1967. The two dads shared a department connection at Cal Poly, the families enjoyed the same church, and Robbie, bless her, was Jeanine's very first friend in our new community. They were an incredibly friendly and welcoming family, including us in many of their lovely events, pool parties, etc. We are all deeply saddened at the untimely loss of Robbie, much too early, though it is some comfort knowing she had enjoyed a dream trip to celebrate her birthday. We will be keeping the family in our prayers, our love to Bob, Gregg, Doug and all the rest of the family.
