Kristen Marie Leicht
Dec. 19, 1984 - Jan. 19, 2018
Native of Santa Cruz
Kristen was born on December 19th, 1984 in Santa Cruz, California. She was 33 years old. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Leicht, her 2 beautiful boys, Andrew and Zach, her mother, Jodi Commins and step-father, Jeff Commins, her brother, Brandon Commins, her step-sister, Renee Commins and step-brother, Paige Commins.
Kristen was a beautiful and loving person who had a smile that could light up any room and a sense of humor that was infectious. She loved her family and friends and would do anything for them. Her family meant the world to her and she loved them all so very much. She loved her hometown Santa Cruz and she loved the ocean. It was a very peaceful and calming place for her. She also loved her country and faithfully served it in the United States Army as an air traffic controller from September 2003 until October 2008 including 1 year at K-16 and Camp Humphreys in South Korea and 1 year at Camp Taji in Iraq. She was so proud to serve her country.
She will forever be remembered and loved as the beautiful person she was, with that beautiful smile and beautiful soul. She will be greatly and terribly missed forever. We love you so very much Krissy. R.I.P.
A Memorial Service will be held for Kristen and her grandfather, Keith Duel on April 28, 2018 at the United Methodist Church, 250 California Street in Santa Cruz beginning at 10 o'clock am. Any kind acts of charity may be made in her memory to your favorite veteran's organization, or charity that assists with the treatment of PTSD.
