April 19, 1941 - August 27, 2018Bill Lawson passed away at age 77 on August 27, 2018 in Calimesa, California after a long, heroic battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara; sons, Bryan, Bobby, and Billy; daughter, Michelle; granddaughters, Micaela, Cheyenne, Samantha, and McKenzi; his dog Eska; brother, Larry; sisters, Patricia, Judie, Peggy, and Linda. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie; sister, Gerri; and beloved dogs, Shasta and Shadow.Bill attended Redlands High School and graduated in 1959. He attended Cal State San Luis Obispo and was an engineer for 30 years with General Telephone/Verizon. He retired in 1993. He loved spend time with his family, animals, cruises, Alaska, explore cameras, singing Happy Birthday out of tune, and his morning coffee. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name to Best Friends Animal Society via the organized fundraiser on Facebook or www.bestfriends.org are welcome and appreciated.Celebration of Life, September 12, 2018, 5:00pm-9:00pm, The Mission Gables House, Talbert Courtyard, 168 Eureka Street, Redlands, CA 92373
