Rita was always such a calm, sweet spirit when I worked with her at Hoffer School. Prayers for all her family, peace for them knowing she is in our Savior's arms.

What struck me the most with Grandma Rita were the countless sparkles in her eyes. Shining even more when she smiled, it felt like I could see and feel the emotions overwhelming her. These dazzling blue comets were living intensely and reflected her enthusiasm and eagerness to live. As she watched her children and grandchildren evolve, in her eyes I saw this everlasting, infinite and profound love she was meant to offer, that she was able to give during her life, and luckily we could all receive. I was only a 13 year-old kid when I grasped in these eyes a tremendous affection, that I shall never forget.
Grandma Rita, to me, as well as being a blithe person, was the embodiment of generosity; gifts speak for themselves however, words do even more; wise and honest, her advices to the juvenile child I was, for the short period I could receive them, helped me understand others. It seemed like she would never tell people that they were wrong, but simply made it implicit. I shall thank her for this veiled honesty which helped me in encompassing my faults.

Grandma Rita is not among us anymore but has left a perpetual print in our sorrowful minds. Let us remember her gleaming eyes while looking at the stars, her stellar presence while looking at the moon and her stunning kindness when one's soul is melancholic. We are all aggrieved that the sky has taken back such a wonderful woman, but let us thank Him for initially make her part of our lives.
