April 25, 1995 - November 12, 2017
On Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, Jacob Lewis Amancio, loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 22.
Jake was born on April 25, 1995, in Richmond, B.C. to Joe and Lisa (Correll) Amancio. Our family moved to Washington State shortly after he was born. We eventually settled in Stanwood, Washington where Jake spent his childhood and graduated from Stanwood High School in 2013. Jake played soccer for the Stanwood Spartans all four years, he was a team captain and had a love and a gift for the game.
Jake truly had a passion for life and he took every opportunity to get outside, seek the next adventure and enjoy every moment to the fullest. He loved being on a board: wakeboard, long/skate board, scooter and especially a snowboard. He was an avid photographer and videographer who could not only capture the true essence of the moment, but would bring it to life through video and music. Jake was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, big brown kind eyes, his loving and compassionate spirit and deep love for his family.
Jake is survived by his father and mother Joe and Lisa Amancio, his sister Brielle (Amancio) Price, brother in law Andrew Price and two nephews Greyson and Cooper Price, along with grandparents Bob and Margie Correll, aunties, uncles and cousins Jennifer, Ajay and Jackson Marrott, Elisabeth, Josh and Isiah Smith, who have always shown such a deep love for Jake.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Stanwood, Wash. at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Social Hall.
Donations may be sent to Bellingham Mountain Rescue, P.O. Box 292, Bellingham, WA 98227.
