Dear Alvin Lalim Family,

Your Uncle Elmer just called to tell me that your dear gallant father had passed.

I know you will miss him greatly. I shall miss seeing him at Lalim Reunions.

My son Christopher and I just returned from the Boston/Wellesley, Massachusetts by way of Las Vegas to Fresno where we live and were not expecting to hear such bad news.

Periodically and recently we had been talking about your Grandparents Bert and Christine and the family's wonderful talent for softball and baseball and especially since we have been recently been talking about and watching first hand my 12 year old grandson Max (Lalim) Falcone's love for baseball.

We shall treasure the many memories we have of your father and his family especially on Threshing Day--it was glorious. At least once a week I look at the black and white photo of all the relatives working together to get the harvest in. Your Aunt Donna Gast and I would ride the hayrack so we could have fun during those times.

With special love for you to have a great life and grand memories of your dearest Daddy/Grandfather.

Al and I went to many Lions events together when I was District Governor and he was Vice District Governor. He was a very dedicated Lion.We always had fun and enjoyed serving others.

Lion Al was a great leader of the Lions organization. He was active and enthusiastic in his quest to help others through services offered by Lions. I was proud to have served as a District Governor following Lion Al in District 5M4. He was a super role model for all volunteers. His impact on the Lions organization will be fondly remembered.
