Dear Lisa and Family:

I am so sorry for the loss of Darrell. He was a wonderful man who made me smile and chuckle every time we met.
He will be missed by all who knew him!
Rest in Peace, my friend...

I worked with Darrell here at Schaefer for the last 2 1/2 years. He always had a great story and was always in a good mood. He loved to talk to me about my shoes. He'd even tell me when he saw shoes at a store that he thought I would like. He liked to tell me all about the tractor pulls and what kind of tractors they were. He was always helpful when it came to his job, and would do what he could for others. Darrell was a fixture at Schaefer and will be greatly missed by all of us. My sincerest sympathies to his family.

I met Darrell in the spring of 97. It was the second day of my new job at Schaefer. I was asked to go to the southern location and talk to a guy named Darrell. I arrived in the parking lot...and up walked a man wearing a big smile, cowboy boots, and greeted me with a handshake. He asked my name and where I was from. I said I'm Dave and I am from a small hobby farm right down the road. He asked what kind of tractors we had. I said I grew up on Farmalls! He smiled big, nodded his head and we have been friends ever since. I will miss arriving to work early in the morning...and the conversations we have had over the last 20 years, such as when he would let me know the gas prices for the day and what they were a year ago that day. We had lots to talk about, and sometimes I would even get a few words in.
Thanks for being a good friend Darrell.
You will surely be missed.
