A special thanks to the St. Cloud Hostpital Emergency and ICU staff for their compassion and care, especially Bob whose gentle care and promise to keep him free of pain and suffering during his last hours was truly met. Also thanks to Fr. Ed for administering the Last Rites.
Blaine Steven Hennek was born the eighth child of Gabriel E and Margaret E (Ziebol) Hennek in St. Cloud, Minnesota on May 19, 1960. He attended St. Anthony Catholic Grade School in St. Cloud, Avon Elementary in Avon, and graduated from Albany High School. He married Lisa Pflueger on June 4, 1999; they later divorced.
Blaine struggled his entire adult life with mental health illness but managed to work as a stockman, forklift operator, and janitor. He was a creative dabbler with amateur art, wood, metal, and scrap resulting in useful tools and artistic knick knacks. He enjoyed being outdoors in the woods and was most comfortable with the simpler things in life. Blaine maintained the family built log cabin and creek dam he alone constructed as his legacy.
He was happiest when married to Lisa Pflueger who gave him step-children, Melissa and Rachel, and step-grandchildren, Riley and Mason whom he cared for.
We will miss Blaine's unique blue eyes that displaced his eyebrows into a smirk when he smile and cocked his head.
Blaine is survived by his brothers and sisters, Patricia (Ron) Zwilling, Newnan, GA; Ric (Lynn Stewart) Hennek, Avon; Janine (John) Snowdon, St. Cloud; Gregg (Jeanne Giroux) Hennek, Central Lakes; Keith (Maria) Hennek, Waldorf, MD; and Jayme (Janice Ostendorf) Hennek; numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews; step-daughters Melissa Pflueger and Rachel (Pflueger) Feldewerd and their mother Lisa Pflueger and step-grandchildren, Riley and Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Shirley Hennek, grandparents Mathia and Bertha (Weling) Hennek, and Matthew and Elizabeth (Wilmes) Ziebol.

Will always remember my conversations with Blaine. He was a mild mannered gentleman who's presence will be missed by many.
