They called us the Four travelling grandparents, as we shared so many great times with Teri & Charlie's four beautiful children. It was very common for the 10 of us to fly to Florida (opening of Harry Potter studios), California (Disneyland) LEGOLAND, Arizona (Sedona, Grand Canyon). Christmastime was the best; Andy & I would fly to MN w/ gifts, favorite Mexican chimis, sweets etc. Huddling by the fireplace, watching the snow fall outside the cabin @ Sauk Centre with those lovable four grandchildren made each Christmas so special for Carol, Ron and Andy & Carol. Ron's Sunday sausage/pancake breakfasts were his special treat all the time. He told stories about his wonderful mother and the cabin on the lake; how it all started and four generations later Charlie & Teri will keep it alive! Ron was a family man and a "people person" and if he could lend a hand, he was there for you. Proud of his country, he would purchase new flags for anyone at the lake to replace the ones ripped by the wind. A fine, lovable, smiling man with a generous spirit...dear Ron, we pray to our dear Lord to embrace you and give you rest. We, with Carol, will forever hold you in our hearts, May God Bless! Carol and Andy Pongratz, AZ.

Dear Carol and family: My heart moves me to acknowledge my feelings of sorrow and care for the loss of your precious Ron. Although I never got to know Ron personally my observance of him from a distant gave me the impression that he was a very good husband and very much loved by his children and grandchildren. Susan and I would love to hold all of you in our arms and give you big hugs to show our love and care for you at this time. Since we cannot be there in person we are holding each one of you in our hearts and we pray that you are experiencing the love of our heavenly Father to carry you through, knowing that a very large part of your life is not going to be there with you anymore. With love, Merv, Susan and family
