Herbert Edward Gill, age 85, of St. Cloud, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Country Manor Campus, Sartell.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Herbert Gill be held on Monday, June 27 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at the church. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud. Arrangements by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Herbert Edward Gill was born on October 26, 1930 in St. Joseph to Joseph and Gertrude (Wolney) Gill. Herbert married Ethel Klein in 1960. Throughout his life he farmed, drove truck and worked for Cold Spring Granite Company. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and spend time with his grandchildren.
Herbert is survived by his wife, Ethel; children, Richard (Gloria) of St. Cloud, Frank (Natalie) of St. Cloud, Carol "CJ" (Rick) Kunstleben of Rockville, Karen (Edward) Kuhn of Waite Park; grand- children, Samantha (Anthony), Dalton, Alex, Taylor, Sherri, Brennen (Kayla), Noa; siblings, Eileen Capser, Ted (Joan) Gill, Marie Winter, Donald (Veronica) Gill, Jim (Celina) Gill, Mike (Arleen) Gill, Marge (Alfred) Kalla, Alma (Arnold) Nietfeld, Donna (Jerome) Karls and sister-in-law, Marlene Gill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gertrude, and brothers, Irvin, Albert and Eugene.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
