Bill Frantti lived in my neighborhood called Fernwood. He always made a skating rink in his backyard for the neighbor kids to use anytime. I also had him for trigonometry and I dropped out because math was not my best subject. I will always remember his crooked mouth when he talked. He was a great guy and came to our 45th class reunion.

I took a "special math class" from Bill back in the late 1950's. Special indeed. A great teacher. A great role model. I was not aware of all that he did to support hockey in the region--but not the least bit surprised.

I was very sadden to hear of the passing of Coach. I was fortunate to play hockey for coach, for four years at Tech High school. He was a true teacher of the game. But, even more important then that, was that he was a builder of young men. I learned some hard lessons from him, but those are the ones that I carry with me today. My heart felt condolences go out to the Frantti family, and all who were lucky enough to have known Coach.
Keep your head up, stick on the ice, nothing but smooth sheets of ice from now on. RIP coach.
