I was not able to attend the wake for Charlie last Friday evening but I want to say how fondly I remember him. I bought all of my baseball and hockey gear from Charlie at Louise's back in the early 70s until the store closed. Charlie was so great to me that I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. As it turns out, I probably haven't seen him for 20 years or so. But whenever his name came up in stories or shared acquaintances it always brought a smile and it always will.

Charlie was a late entry into our Morel Circle "gang" but left fond memories with all of us. When he had his hip surgery, he could outrun most of us with his crutches. And those after school APBA games in the breezeway were classic.
Rest in Peace

I had the pleasure of meeting Charley this year. We worked together at Autoparts International and it was enjoyable to talk with him on sports and other things. Charley will be missed. Ed Driver at Autoparts International
