I feel like I am mostly expressing condolences on behalf of my parents, who were dear friends for many years w/ Al & Beulah. But both Harold & Waneta Phinney have now passed on: Dad in 2015 and Mom in 2017. Al was such a sweet man and did much for me during their winters in Tucson after I assumed responsibility for my parents. He helped fix things at Mom's house, helped me handle selling my Dad's truck, checked up on Mom since we live 5 hrs away from Tucson, and he + Beulah were the few friends who consistently visited my Dad in Memory Care. They didn't seem to mind that he wasn't sure who they were anymore! I am so glad we were able to get Mom to their place for a visit in 2016. They all seemed to enjoy that, and to see Marge Avolio again too. Beulah always was a special friend to my Mom and even wrote me off & on, sending pictures and updates about all of you. I only met Janice, as she was at their condo when we came to visit that last time. Keep your memories close to your hearts. Al was a special man! I will always remember him. And I promise to keep in touch with Beulah via cards and letters.
