Dottie Piasecki
"Nana"
March 3, 1938 ~ August 18, 2018
On August 18, 2018, Dottie Piasecki passed away peacefully at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. Dottie was born and raised in Everett, Washington. She attended Everett High School, continued onto Seattle University, where she met and married her college sweetheart, Donald Piasecki. In 1966 they moved from Seattle to Everett to build their home and raise 4 children. Dottie began her career at the Everett Holiday Inn and then planned and opened the Everett Pacific Hotel. She served on countless boards and commissions throughout Snohomish County. She was named Snohomish County Working Woman of the Year in 1989. Her community contacts with Providence Hospital in Everett resulted in a job offer to become the director of Public Affairs. After much success, Dottie became the Executive Director of the Providence General Foundation. She found great joy and satisfaction in her role as head of the fund-raising entity. Dottie was extremely proud of the events that she was a part of such as Festival of Trees, The Epicurean Affair and the Women's Wellness Luncheon. These events and her fund-raising efforts were instrumental towards the completion of the Pavilion for Women and Children, The Providence Regional Cancer Partnership and the $500 million Cymbaluk Medical Tower. In June 2006 after nearly 20 years with Providence Dottie retired from her position and then continued on as an Executive Consultant until 2013. She remained active in Snohomish County and continued to serve on the Campfire Board. She most recently was honored with the 2017 Campfire Lou Denney Award for her exceptional community service.
Dottie was passionate about her home and loved cooking for family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all.
Dottie was preceded in death by her loving husband Don, in 2016, and is survived by her 4 children, Tom Piasecki (Tami), Susan Jones (Bob), Lisa Martin (David), Chris Nelson-Orcutt (Dan),
14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and her sister Barbara Rockett.

Dear Piasecki family. What an absolute shock to read of your moms passing.
Your mom and dad were my Godparents and dear friends to my parents, Jack and Margie Carroll from Donovan Street in West Seattle.
It's been so nice to reconnect with Dottie on Facebook after all these years. I was so hoping that the next time I got out to WA we could connect in person.
I wish you all strength in this very sad time. RIP Dottie.
With sincere respect,
Tom Carroll

Dottie Piasecki was a class act through and through. The matriarch of a wonderful family and a bright and professional leader in the community. Above all, she was kind, witty and wonderful to be around. May she rest in peace.

It was such a pleasure and honor for myself and the Camp Fire organization to have the opportunity to know and work with Dottie and her family for two decades in support of the children of Snohomish County. Her leadership on our board of directors and continued support and influence until the very end will be painfully missed. We love you Dottie. Dave Surface

Flooded with memories of our two families getting together when we were kids. Our Parents quietly visiting while us kids ran about. She always made you feel so welcome! Over the years we would reunite at weddings, or more recently catch up on Fb. My Mother had just mentioned to me how her, and Dottie were going to meet for lunch. She was so looking forward to it. I know Don, Dottie & Dad are sharing time together in heaven. My love to Dottie, and the entire Family!

We were blessed to meet Dottie after her working career. Enjoying Sunday morning coffees at Starbucks and evening appetizers and drinks on the patio with the girlswho ranged from 50s to 80s :-). She was always smiling and dressed to the nines. She brought joy to all those who knew her. We shall miss you Dottie. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

SO SORRY to all of you relatives, as well
as the many friends/admirers of Dottie !
Just two weeks ago I drove 700 miles rt
to see/talk with Dottie and others at a mini-reunion of our EHS class of 1956. Very sadly Dottie was not there, having had a stroke two days previously Since we were
about 15 yo (not yesterday) I always had a special, private name for Dottie-
"the girl in the red shoes". In recent years we could not remember how it started.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear about Dottie's passing. She and Don were the best neighbors and friends we could have asked for when we moved to Mill Creek in the 80's. We enjoyed countless delicious dinners with them - along with great conversations and lots of laughter. Dottie was a fantastic mom and Nana and my heart goes out to all of the family.

Dottie was such a kind person. I will always remember her with fondness. Dottie recommended that I take over her position as Director of sales at the Holiday Inn.Sadly I could never fill her shoes. I would run into Dottie from time to time through the years. She was always a joy to see. Beautifull and smart what a great combination.
