To Ed's Family,

I am saddened to learn of Ed's passing. and offer my sincerest condolences.
My husband, daughter and I enjoyed having Ed as a neighbor for almost four years. He and my hubby worked on various projects together (computer-related and car-related) often. Ed would bring his chair to our driveway and advise Dan how to troubleshoot an electrical problem on an old Volvo. They'd be out there for hours! Diagnosing, testing, chatting, and drinking a few beers, etc...Ed was a great storyteller and would happily share tales about growing up in Montana in the 1940's. During one of Ed's extended hospital stays, I adopted his yard. When he came home, he was still weak and not able to get around very well, so I kept working in the yard. Ed would entertain my seven year old daughter while I mowed the lawn. He'd show her the enormous saltwater aquarium and named each creature when she pointed to them. I believe he enjoyed sharing his love of sea creatures with my kiddo. She looks back on it fondly as well. After we moved in April of 2015, my husband saw Ed a handful of times, but not recently.
Ed spoke about his family with love. He was especially proud of his brother, Bill and his professional accomplishments.
I hope reading these words brings comfort to those grieving. Ed was a pretty great guy and I'm thankful for the time we had together.

Take care,

Kara Lewis & Dan Davis

PS: Pray for God to make more fried chicken up there. Now Ed can eat his fave every day!
