My condolences to the Hiroo family. Eddy was such a nice guy and I might add pretty Cool.
I worked for Eddy in Flight Test MRSA. He always had a cigar in his mouth and a dull felt pen in his hand. He would tell me to go do what he wrote on a Rejection Tag(have you ever seen his writing with a warm out felt tip) I couldn't. He would tell me to figure it out, and I did, after finding one of the guys on the field asking what the heck was Eddy saying? Always someone knew from experience and a class in Reading dull Felt Pen 101. He used to laugh, he never once got mad at me about anything. Eddy was always in a good mood, and he knew more about an Airplanes than most. Eddy told me so many stories about so much, telling jokes most of the time. I really enjoyed working for him that's for sure. I think he had everyones respect and if you argued with him, well you lost. I've seen many come to him yelling about paperwork being wrong. I used to giggle and tell the guys that the minute they walked thru the door it was a mistake, Eddy was always going to win. RIP Eddy and please let God be right every once in a while.
