Hi all... I just made a new friend, a Thomsen spelled the same way and looked up your mom on the internet. Lois was like an Aunt to me being my mom's best friend for so many years. Our lives intertwined for so many years. I feel like you all are my family too. Tom and I have been moving around the country for 5 years so I've lost touch with Seattle. Currently living in Usk, Wa. I loved your mom deeply. I hear heaven is a happy place! I know she's with her friends there. So sorry for your loss!!

Dear Lois Thomsen's Family,
I met your dear mother when she and other Bucks and Does members, including Elaine Rankin, hosted a baby shower for me thirty three years ago. I was expecting triplets. The support and generosity of these amazing women has stayed with me all these years. They treated me royally! They presented me with a crown and beautiful, new clothes for all three babies. - Possibly the only new clothes my children had for many years. - They made me feel special and gave me confidence to deal with the challenges of caring for three newborns and a toddler.
Living a few doors down the street from Olympic View Community Church, I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Lois over the years. She was always so friendly. She had such a warm, welcoming heart.
Lois made a difference in my life. Lois' life was a life well lived.
With sympathy for your loss,
Chris Syrjala
