I will never forget Bobby's contagious optimism. I will always remember him as the man I knew throughout our time together. I have never forgotten him. He was a true warrior; he and I bound across enemy machine gun fire together charging/flanking a Taliban PKM that had the team pinned down. When my kit's quick release popped and my gear spilled all over the ground, Bobby pushed with 1 Afghan local police officer over the crest of the hill, putting his brothers lives before his! I wish he could have gotten a medal for that...He is a gallant man and his family should be proud of him!

Bobby served with my husband SSG Jack Martin in 1st Group and was incredibly supportive to our entire family after Jack's death in 2009. I am thankful for knowing him and for his service, and I am sorry for your unspeakable loss. Prayers for peace to your family.

I have listen to at least two stories of how innovative and creative Bobby was when serving in the military. One Master Sergeant and one Sergeant Major expressed what a great guy Bobby was and they both expressed their heartfelt loss for his mom, dad, other family members, and Soldiers that served with Bobby. God bless and keep each of you during your time of grief. Chaplain Roy Swisher, First Special Forces Group (Airborne)

So sorry to hear the sad news about Bobby.
I too, have lost a son. May all the wonderful memories you have of living life with Bobby give you comfort. And most of all, may the peace of God that excels all thought help the family by means of many prayers.
