John and Tom's family-- you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. My family and the Stephenson's were dear dear old friends in Sparta. Love, Margaret (Peg Conn) Drago

My father considered Tom's hardware store his "go to" place. He would sometimes be there 3 times (or more) a day if he were in a project. When he got macular degeneration, he tried to keep his drivers license by explaining he would only drive in a straight line down Roosevelt to the hardware store.
Tom create a true, small town feel hardware store where people were always welcome and treated like family.
Thank you so much and I hope it continues!

I met Tom while at the hardware store before it became 'Ace'. Tom was always cheerful and helpful. This was before Home Depot and Lowes and I appreciated the personal help. Following the death of his wife, he was still very emotional telling of his 'recent' loss. Quite personal and touching, once again. A terrific man!!

Kathy and Mike,
I'll sure miss your dad/FIL. Years ago, he was always cheerfully helping our son find the screws and tools and anything else that was needed for whatever project he was working on.
And for years now, I've looked forward to seeing Tom on Saturdays at the store. I could count on him to share a story or give me a review of his latest experience at The Polyclinic. Always with a smile, a twinkle in his eye and that relaxed way of his.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Lloyd
