Walter is the best! He made laugh and at particular times in our time at Mattel he was very helpful to me. He was loved.

Walt was a friend, co-worker and mentor ...I spent a lot of time with Walt working, golfing, eating pia minies(sp) and parishkas(sp) at his mom's and having a scotch or two ...truly Great guy ..a man's man ...a man of strong opinions, who was not afraid to voice them ...

Walter was a family man ...always proud of them ...often sharing a story about his family ...

I first met Walt when I went to work for Mattel ..he often said he put shoes on my feet and took the Mattel test for me to get the job ..

He was the owner of an infectious laugh and a quick smile ...I love this picture of "the chief" ...

Mr Booriak and I had many an adventure during our Mattel careers and life in general ...I am forever grateful for you sharing this with me ...

You lived an exemplary life and I salute you on a job well done ..

I grew up next to the Schwan (?) family on 55th and 2nd Ave N.W. I was a young teen and two years older than Walter. I don't recall if Walter lived there at times or just visited. A neighbor across the street, Diane Hardy, and I would get together with Walter to play games and talk on the Schwan's front steps. Diane called him Bo. I remember what a really nice person he was and fairly shy. I had not heard about him for all these years and was not surprised to see what a family man he had become. Interesting how some people become memorable. Sounds like he lead a good life.
