Bill's classmates & school chums in Hudson, Michigan will be saddened by this news. Though, Bill went to the West Coast years ago, the older residents of Hudson remember his personality in 'glowing terms'. Bill called the Hudson Museum this past summer to check on our 92 year old curator's health. After receiving the call, I mentioned it to three other people and all had nothing but good things to say about Bill. A classmate remarked that he was the smartest guy he has ever known. The curator remarked that he was Hudson's most successful graduate and a really nice man. May his deeds and values live on.

Cathy...some of my great memories of the island include times at that farmhouse on Tolo. Your dad was always kind and encouraging to me. And I thank him for the 60-second decision he made to transition that goofy golden to my care! All the best to you and your family at this time. Linda Gordon

Dear Bill,, We give thanks for your having been in our lives, for sharing the raspberries in your fabulous Eagledale garden, for work on our community school board and support of youth and alternative education for all ages, for your. volunteering to draft the bylaws of our community. School and patterning our efforts with positive vision after Cornell University, and help and support as a trustee to incubate so many community activities and programs and always with a ready wit and sense of humor to lighten the load. We are putting a candle on our alter today.. Peace, Brother Bill and always love and gratitude,, Judie. and Jerry
