Dr Stone was my children's pediatrician from 1995 until he retired. As a new mom he always made me feel comfortable and reassured. He would answer phone calls day or night. He was a blessing to so many new parents and children. May he rest in peace.

It was difficult to see Dr. Stones obituary in this mornings paper. And to see his picture as we always saw it on our visits to his office. I worked at OConnor hospital and was there when Dr. Stone opened his practice in San Jose. Seeing how he interacted with patients who were hospitalized and hearing of his immediate great reputation as the best pediatrician in the valley, when I had my first child in 1973, I knew immediately Dr. Stone is who we entrusted with our sons health. In fact, our son continued to see Dr.Stone as long as he possibly would be allowed to. So I think he was 19 when that ended. In 1982 and 1984 we had two more children. And they too became Dr. Stones patients. There were times I had to call him in the middle of the night and he returned my calls with two minutes of leaving a message with the answering service, NEVER making me feel guilty for calling and always reassuring me things would be fine for my child. There was never a better pediatrician Ive come across in life, I only wish I would have told him that before this time came.

Dr. Stone - you were my Pediatrician 35 years ago. My memories of you are warm and bright! Your shots never hurt and your animal crackers were the best. You had the kindest nurses and the best bed side manner. May God welcome you into his pearly gates and comfort the family you left behind!
