His had a spirit which soars above us and in us still. He and Bette danced their SuperPower of pure joy. Wayne knew no inhibition or constraints. He punctured pretense and pomposity with ease and rapier wit. He taught us important things we should never forget like speak the hell up and cheer for what should be. He was irreverent and he was fun. I happened to be seated at his table my first year with QSP. He predicted loudly we were in for an interminable evening of formality and held a bottle of aspirin aloft declaring loudly we would all need a few. Everyone took two or more. Everyone. And we laughed and were the “bad table” that night. I really miss him.

You lived a full life and helped so many along the way. You are missed by your multitude of friends, family and acquaintances.
Many of us could use your support, love and humor to get us through the next few weeks and into the next couple of years. It hasn’t been easy and it would have been very difficult for you to have maintained your composure but you would have found a way to unite us.
I can’t wait to see you again “in all the old familiar places”.

Caring, funny, lively, loud, smart, maddening, energetic, original. You brought life to every gathering.

We were given great fun & crazy memories created by Wayne ... whether at Tar & Feathers or a 49er game. The bus rides from the bar to Candlestick are inimitable. What fun Wayne was.

Wayne was my oldest brother and I miss him so much everyday. He had a zest for living and everyone who knew him was cheered by his presence. I know he is 'not resting in peace" but continuing to bring joy to "the afterlife"...whatever it may be!!

Nifty hat too...in a way he "owned" Halloween in life & its only fitting his memorial is around the same time of the year.I'm afraid I did not let him know how much I enjoyed his presence & personality while he was alive, but now in reflection appreciate that fact that he was a real original!
