Vogt, Marlene
Marlene Vogt, age 78, formerly of Sheboygan passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Aurora, IL after an extended illness. Marlene was born December 12, 1938 in Sheboygan to the late Harold and Emma (Range) Heyn. On October 12, 1957, Marlene was united in marriage to Bob Vogt in Sheboygan. Marlene and her husband Bob traveled the world extensively, making trips to all 7 continents. She was a devoted Catholic and a longtime member of Annunciation Church in Aurora, IL. Marlene was a Eucharistic Minister, President of the Altar and Rosary Society as well as a member of the sodality. Marlene was a realtor for many years. More than anything else, Marlene cherished her family. She also enjoyed sewing and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her loving husband Bob, two sons Jim Vogt of Tampa, FL and Sheboygan, and Mike (Dawn) Vogt of Sugar Grove, IL, her very cherished grandchildren Matthew and Allison, a sister Lois Hopp of Mountain View, CA, and a brother Roger (Sharon) Heyn of Davenport, IA.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Carol (Heyn) Schuessler and a brother Willis Heyn.
Family and friends may call at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Fr. Richard Cerpich, officiating. Burial to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Marlene's name.
