Lefeber, Marcella R. (Koenigs)
Marcella R. Lefeber, 99, formerly of rural St. Cloud "Armstrong", died Tuesday evening, August 7, 2012 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary.
The former Marcella Koenigs was born January 29, 1913, in the town of Taycheedah, near Mount Calvary, to the late John & Rosa (Abler) Koenigs.
She attended Holy Cross Grade School in Mount Calvary.
On June 13, 1934, she married Louis Lefeber at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. The couple farmed in the Dotyville and Armstrong area all their married life. Louis preceded her in death on April 28, 1988.
Marcella was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church in the town of Osceola. She was a former member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Armstrong.
Survivors include her three children, Ernest (Germaine) Lefeber of St. Cloud; Rose Ann Hoerth of New Holstein; and Anthony (Rosalene) Lefeber of rural St. Cloud "Armstrong"; nine grandchildren, Paul (Deanna) Lefeber, Ken Lefeber, Barb Lefeber, Bruce (Nancy) Lefeber, Rita (Lee) Jones, Randall (Kristin) Hoerth, Rick (Jenny) Hoerth, Kurt (Chris) Lefeber, and Erik (Kim) Lefeber; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosa Koenigs; her husband, Louis Lefeber; six brothers, Henry Koenigs, Albert Koenigs, Arthur Koenigs, Walter Koenigs, Leander Koenigs, and Elmer Koenigs; five sisters, Mathilda Krebsbach, Laura Konen, Alvina Koenigs, Angela Stephanie, and Loretta Fleischman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012, at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church W1562 County Road B Eden, WI. Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery in Armstrong.
Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street in St. Cloud on Sunday, August 12, 2012, from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday morning at Shepherd of the Hills Church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Sunday evening at 5 p.m.
Memorials in Marcella's name may be directed to the Villa Loretto Nursing Home or to Fr. Mike Shea's Sarnelli House.
Marcella's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the sisters and staff members at the Villa Loretto for their wonderful care and compassion given to her these past 10 ½ years.
