Sharon A. Smokovitz
Sheboygan Falls - Sharon Ann Smokovitz, age 71, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away late Sunday evening (March 11, 2018) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in Plymouth where she had been a resident for the past two years.
She was born on June 12, 1946 in Norway, Michigan, a daughter of the late Ted and Lorraine (Ramsdell) Smokovitz.
Sharon graduated from Vulcan High School in Vulcan, MI in 1964.
In October of 1969 she married Ivan Arnsmeier in Deforest, WI. The couple resided in the Plymouth area since 1974.
She was a self-employed interior designer for many years.
Sharon was a former member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls.
In her younger years, she was a very talented figure skater and was an avid hunter, especially with her Dad. Sharon was also very active in the 4-H program with her horse, Taffy. She had an extreme love for animals, enjoyed music and dancing, and was a very accomplished seamstress. She always had a special love for the outdoors and a deep love for Family's camp up north and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by one Son: Dean (Jodie) Arnsmeier of Sheboygan; One daughter: Dana (Troy) Barber of Plymouth; and Two Grandsons: Travis and Mitchell Barber. She is also survived by many cousins and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents and many beloved pets.
Following Sharon's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday (March 17, 2018) at 12:00 Noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Rev. Philip Reifenberg will officiate.
Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday (Mar. 17) from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Sharon's name.

She is now at peace...knew Sharon as a friend and neighbor in Norway growing up. May her new road be free of stumbling blocks and my sincere condolences to Dean, who is her son and the only child of hers I know. My prayers to all.
